The Government of Japan has proposed to extend a warm invitation to ten Australians to participate in the program for fiscal Year 2013. The eight Australians shall consist of four former prisoners of war (POW’s) including civilians of the Japanese during the Second World War and four of their carers, preferably family members of the former POW and able to assist him or her.

The Minister Assisting the Prime Minister on the Centenary of Anzac Warren Snowdon today provided further details on the ballot arrangements for Australians planning to attend Anzac Day commemorations in Gallipoli on 25 April 2015.
